I’m back! After a very lovely two days spent lying on the couch watching Christmas movie after Christmas movie with my siblings and eating enough to feed an army, my family and I packed up and headed over to our cabin on the Sunshine Coast yesterday. I’ve actually only ever been to the cabin during the summer and it’s been really cool being here during the winter for a change. Winter cabin days involve lots of sitting by the fire, drinking red wine, and watching the rain come down. There was a little pocket of dry weather earlier in the day so my brother, sister and I decided to head out for a walk and see what the tide brought in.
My brother got me the scarf I’m wearing in these pics, I love it! He actually has the most dead-on gift picks for me, but I guess having a sharp sense of style can almost be expected considering the fact he was raised with three sisters. I also got the Canon Rebel T3 and have been absolutely loving it. So much fun shooting all the beautiful shells that wash up on our rocky beaches…that is until I started to freeze, which usually happens pretty quickly (I am a low blood-pressure, cool-temperature freak). So now I’m sitting in front of this…

Oh that looks so nice! We have cabins here in Finland as well, we call them cottages though, but I guess they're quite similar 🙂 It's looks so cosy, and I love the idea of watching Christmas related movies with your family. I took Nala there over Thanksgiving and she LOVED exploring the beach with all its shells, logs and pebbles.
