Team Canada Tee c/o The Bay, American Apparel skirt, H&M wedges and belt,
Rebecca Minkoff bag, ring c/o Social Experiment
For Style Panel's challenge this week, FASHION Magazine gave us a really fun, Olympics-themed task: pick one piece out of the Bay's always-amazing Olympics collection and style it into a Games-appropriate yet stylish look. I'm a huge Olympics fanatic, especially after having my own city host the Winter Olympics two years ago and being there for all the energy and magic, so I was so excited about this challenge.
For any of you other Olympics nuts out there, the key is to not wear every single national-pride-emblazoned piece you have all at the same time. I stuck with just my Team Canada T-shirt, which happened to have a very femme cut perfect for tucking into skirts, and then worked the rest of my outfit around it. You can be a bit cheeky and festive with the rest of your look, obviously (I mean, a red skirt with a red and white top...it's toeing into Canadiana overkill territory), but in the case of my fellow Canadians, more than one maple leaf can get a bit distracting.
Have you guys all been keeping up with the Olympics as well or are you not quite as into it?

beautiful! love the bright red!

"For any of you other Olympics nuts out there, the key is to not wear every single national-pride-emblazoned piece you have all at the same time." I laughed out loud, pally! I'm not really a national event nut in anyway. I don't own anything national-pride-emblazoned, period. In fact, I'm not sure I ever have. But I definitely appreciate the lovely red and white palette of this ensemble :) Happy Thursday, my friend! Miss you.
