Happy Accidents

Dress c/o Banana Republic Canada, Twenty8Twelve leather jacket, Aldo booties,
Club Monaco clutch, watch c/o WatchCo, Persol sunnies c/o SmartBuyGlasses

One thing that is really special about being a blogger (aside from the amazing community, creative outlet and the opportunity to play dress-up whenever you'd like) is that you often have the opportunity to try something, whether it's an experience or a piece of clothing, that you thought you'd like and end up being pleasantly surprised.

Thanks to the wonderful people at the BR/Gap/Old Navy Canada PR team, I'm happy to learn that this Banana Republic business-apropos dress, which I'd normally have deemed too work-esque for my tastes, actually fits into my wardrobe quite seamlessly. I love the subtle pattern and texture of this winter-ready piece, while the unique warm tones in its grey colour palette completely fit in with all the purples and reds I've been loving this season! Definitely a nice little happy surprise to take into the weekend with me.

Speaking of which, this weekend I finally get to catch up with some blogger friends who I haven't seen in ages! So excited. Any exciting plans for the weekend for yourself?

Happy Friday!!

  2. Killer look! The softs with the leather jacket and the tribal scarf. I love it! I think that belt is my favorite belt of ever and I actually really like those heeled booties.

  5. Banana Republic is full of surprises, I've always found - I just really wish they would extend their petite selection, because sadly, your munchkin blogger friend is too little for their regular sizing ;) You're looking fabulous as always, pally. So good to chat yesterday, looking forward to seeing you via skype again this weekend!

  18. This outfit is fantastic! I love the elements you've styled this dress with - the leopard clutch, leather jacket, bold lip color (which is gorgeous!), the scarf. Everything fits together perfectly.

What lip color are you wearing?
