Today I officially launch into my third week of Whole30! Aaaand as much as I'm quite literally counting down the days until it's over, so far, so good. It's funny how daunting 30 days of no dairy, no grains, no gluten, no alcohol, no sugar, etc can be when you're approaching it, but then once you're in it, it's nothing. 30 days goes by in a flash.
The only thing about this time around that I'm really not enjoying is that I'm having the craziest dreams ever, which is saying a lot because I have weird dreams as a general rule anyway. These ones are a whole new breed though...super vivid, usually morbid and just really, really creepy. The only thing that's significantly different lately is my intake, so Whole30, I blame you for my scary dream about Gollum and fish and cliffs. Though I love eating clean, I can't wait to eat chocolate and dream about happy things like baby seals and sugar plums and flying.
Speaking of which, does anyone else dream about flying crazy amounts? I've had really vivid dreams of flying or floating in the air since I was a teeny tot and they're pretty much the best thing ever!

I've had dreams of flying several times too. But on many occasions it is hard for me to "lift off". I thought I was weird but now I know I'm not the only one ;). The weird part is that flying feels so natural like it is something I actually do. You look great as always, stripes are always a win in my book.
ReplyDeleteI honestly commend you for doing that for 30 days! I def couldn't!! and I LOVE that skirt!!

Wow! You are almost there. It is amazing you have made it this far, I would have quit by now. Hope the dreams get better. -Heidi
ReplyDeleteI just finished doing the 12- day Wild Rose Cleanse a few days ago, and even though the whole thing was a huge challenge, I have to say that the improvement it's made on my body and my mind has been incredible. Now that I'm "allowed" to eat sweets and dairy and all that beautiful stuff, I have a lessened desire to do so. Although, Crema's goodies always tempt me whenever I go. Good for you for going a whole 30 days! I'll have to try it sometime.
ReplyDeleteLove your cozy layers today. I'm impressed to hear that you are still on the Whole30 plan. I bet you have a super supportive family that is helping you through. I vividly remember my first flying dream. It was amazing, and I didn't want to wake up. It still strikes me as surreal. Remember, your liver works at night and during this cleanse it is working extra hard so there's bound to be some disruptive sleep. It should all smooth out soon.
ReplyDeletehahaha wow and it's usually the opposite which happens. People usually have dreams when they eat sugar. Those sound like some crazy dreams you got going. I have the worst nightmares/dreams if I eat less than 2 hours before bed. I'm constantly waking up in a frantic :P

Love the way this outfit turned out in the photos... such pretty layers :) And I'm glad the bag worked out! Also, although I'm not jealous about the morbid and creepy dreams, I am quite envious of the fact that they're usually vivid in your mind. I often can't remember mine and when I do they are murky and unclear! Haha
ReplyDeleteSee you tomorrow!

Even though it was probably freezing when you took those photos, you look snuggly and warm!! You're so great at layering!
ReplyDeleteI also have dreams about flying, though not all the time. In mine, I can fly really well at the beginning and go over cities, but as times goes on I find it harder and harder to get off the ground and fly. Weird, right?
:)

I can't imagine going 30 days without all that, I think I would be a horribly grumpy individual. So congrats, other than those crazy dreams it's a good thing!
ReplyDeleteI love this look, that skirt is gorgeous!! Such a beautiful colour and looks lovely with that chunky knit

ReplyDeleteI've been flying in my dreams as well and riding on horse(what I haven't done in my life), but lately I have been seeing dreams like a love story, some romantic movie, where I'm just watching.
