To Brunch, To Brunch

Though my brunches are a bit lacking this month (Whole30 negates a few of my favourite brunch staples, like muffins, croissants, bread, etc.), that doesn't mean I still don't take advantage of my favourite weekly ritual. It's very rare for me to miss my beloved Sunday brunch - almost without fail, at about 11 a.m. I'll be tucking into a huge plate of food at one of my favourite spots in the city. Of course, in order to do brunch properly, you need to be dressed comfortably...in terms of sheer volume, my brunches are like little Thanksgiving dinners, so comfort is definitely key.

I wore this casual (right down to the footwear) look this past weekend when Matt and I cruised Granville Island, grabbed some coffee and (you guessed it) did brunch. If I'm truly schlumping around, I try to pay some attention to either colour, print or texture to still add visual interest to a casual look - some tonal shades of burgundy coupled with stripes here hopefully livens up what could otherwise teeter into too-casual territory!
