Is there something going on with the lunar cycle these days?? I feel like not just me, but everyone is exhausted, flustered and feeling a bit under-the-weather. Instead of blaming it on rational things like the fact that March is a busy month and this tends to be one of the most event-heavy times of the year, I'd rather point to the moon or to some celestial change in the sky as the main culprit. Why? Because it just makes gives a pretty resoundingly blah feeling at least some allure...a little mystique/pizazz I guess. Also I just really, really love astrology.

So anyhoo, it should go without saying that I'm majorly TGIF-ing this weekend. I have only one more busy week and then it should be home free, so in order to plough through the work coming up, I really need to full-on vegetate over the next two days. Have you ever read this article "14 Things Successful People Do On the Weekends" that's been floating around the web? It's so dead-on: in order to really be at our best, we need to completely unplug and recharge sometimes. That's what weekends should be for (though that's currently not what I'm using them for right now) - major R&R. Anyway, worth a read.

Oh right! This is a fashion blog, I forgot. Anyhoo, this scarf kind of speaks on its own. A bright, happy colour explosion, yet again from Subtle Luxury's SPUN Scarves line. When I have a piece that's so much fun all on its own, I tend to just pick one element of it (the neon green this time around) and play that up in only one other piece of clothing - other than that, I really try to treat the styling of the rest of my look as a pretty basic canvas for the piece to really pop out against.

  4. Okay, I just read the article... and I'm skeptical. A tech Sabbath? I mean, does it count if I don't have wifi unless I'm home, so I can't check email? I'm only sort of kidding about this :) In all seriousness, though, you're looking lovely as always, pally - this bright lip colour really suits you! Hope you have a restful weekend. Miss you!

  7. Love your scarf and bag! Brightens everything up! It's great that most of the 14 things are about relaxing and rejuvinating. It makes sense because to be successful we have be clear-headed and to do that we need to relax. I certainly need to remember that!

  14. You styled that scarf perfectly and let it be the centrepiece. I love the colours and print, plus your lipstick is a perfect match to the tomato-y hue in the scarf. Hope you enjoy some true R&R this weekend!

  21. YES, I haven't been doing anything, and I've been exhausted. Maybe we're just all getting older, and this is just a natural manifestation of that. Holy cow, I can't even imagine what seniors must go through... but hey, the article was a nice read, and I'm glad that fashion blogging has been a fun outlet!

You look gorgeous, as always :) The colorful scarf really reminds me of spring and I wish it would hurry up and arrive
