If there's one colour combo that I will always love forever and ever, it's rich forest green coupled with navy. My favourite. I think it might be because I was a huge geek growing up/still am and I used to obsess over the mystical world of Lord of the Rings. Anyhoo, I think it instilled this great love of forest green in me (probably cause I loved Legolas so much) and I feel like when it's paired with navy, it gives off a way more casual yet still elegant vibe than if it were paired with go-to black. Just an FYI, I still to this day stand by my choice of "Concerning Hobbits" as a wedding march song when and if I ever get married. So yes, still a huge geek.
Anyway, aside from waving my nerd flag high, I'm really just preoccupied with my hair slash how much I need to cut it. Any Vancouverites know of a good local stylist? I had an amazing one in Toronto but no one here, and this mop needs a serious chop. I'm thinking of going about this short - thoughts?

Oh pally, you and your haircut :) We'll have to chat about it some more during our skype date... if your schedule permits, Thursday {morning for you, dinner for me} works for me. Say 8am PST? Let me know.

PS: I'm a huge fan of navy and forest green - I always find it makes me look really pale, though, sadly. You, on the other hand, wear it beautifully.
Haha! I also want 'Concerning Hobbits' at my wedding ;)
ReplyDeleteForest green is one of my favorite colors, it goes with everything!
That is a great color combination. Oh, how badly I need to incorporate MORE colors into my own wardrobe. You have such a knack for layering I love it! I say go for the haircut! It's a fun length, still has a lot of room for styling and it's the New Year - why not!?

Yes! You are speaking my language. Which isn't, might I add, the Black Speech of Mordor. Coming from one former LOTR geek to another, you're much more Elf than Hobbit. ;)
ReplyDeleteI love the colour combo and that it is LOTR inspired. That's when you know the world is in sync.
ReplyDeletelove your blog! amazing pictures
ReplyDeletehow about following each other? would love to see you over :)

ReplyDeleteYou look great, Alex! I think OP's hair will look lovely on you... wish I could help with a stylist. I just found a great place here in Calgary so it's not going to be fun coming back home and having to hunt down a new one.

ReplyDeleteYes, love the combo of forest green and navy!! So pretty! I love that song! It's so beautiful and happy! Since I'm only 4'10", people at work tend to call me a hobbit, but I take it as a compliment because hobbits are awesome! lol
