I run by this little field of yellow all the time up at my cabin on the Sunshine Coast and I always think to myself “one day, I should come up here and snap an outfit post.” Inevitably, I always end up getting super lazy post-run, post-beer and post-suntanning and if I do end up snapping any pictures, I end up doing it on our beach.
BUT NOT THIS TIME…not this time. No, I had my very good and very kind older sister who has always been an amazing supporter, and even though I had a hobbled foot from a freak mid-ocean accident (it’s just too dumb/weird of a story to share but pretty much, I’m all better now), she managed to get us up there in one piece and looking mostly not in pain.
And am I ever happy we decided on this spot because I got to spend most of it sitting down with my foot somewhat propped up, letting my purple dress do the talking on its own amidst a sea of yellow. I used to be all about dresses but over the course of this past year, I’ve somehow become a shorts- and pants-devotee. Having said that, slowly but surely I’ve found myself gravitating towards my summer dresses again, and I’m happy I have – I don’t know why I resist putting them on, because each time I do I feel an instant boost in my mood.
On a slightly less sunshiney note, moving is going but it’s going slow. Let’s just leave it to this: you never really realize how many clothes/toiletries/shoes you have until you have to dig into the deepest depths of your closet to extract it all, only to burrow it all into a new on again. Needless to say, I am taking advantage of our new rooftop deck with my friend wine here and there to beat the moving stress! Anyone have any other relaxation tips that are perhaps not as damaging to my liver?
I love these photos, this field is definitely the perfect spot for some photos. i always do the same thing at my lake, so many great spots but I'm usually too tired/sweaty to take photos haha
