As we’re well into spring now, I’ve been steadily moving all of my winter wardrobe into storage, making room for breezy, lovely spring pieces and lightening up style-wise in general. First things to go were my wooly, oversized knit scarves – absolute necessities during the winter, but in the spring you not only crave colour and print, but lightweight, luxurious fabrics too. I’m so excited to share three ways of styling some of my favourite Aritzia spring scarves this week, beginning with this rectangle stunner! Click through to see the whole look and to find out how to tie this chic pretzel knot!
If you have a rectangle scarf and especially if it happens to have two different prints/colours on each side (just one of the reasons I can’t stop wearing this scarf), the pretzel knot is such a great way to highlight both sides – it also looks like it takes way more expertise than it really requires.
How to tie a pretzel scarf:
1. Fold the scarf in half and hold middle point in one hand and both ends in the other hand.
2. Take one of the ends and draw it through the middle-point loop.
3. Twist loop and draw other end through (ensuring other design is facing up if your scarf is two-sided), creating a twisted pretzel effect.
Stay tuned for this Thursday for a wrap-up video highlighting how to tie all of the scarf styles and in the meantime, shop this printed stunner from Aritzia here!
In other news, just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who emailed, commented or messaged me with birthday wishes. I had such a wonderful birthday (or more like…a 3-day celebration, all thanks to my incredible friends and family) and I was honestly so touched by all the lovely words from my online community. You guys are the best!
