One thing those close to me know (and it’s something that I really am trying to move past) is my deep, deep love of being tan. My family used to have tanathons (well, my siblings and I) to see who would get the deepest tan each summer—that’s how much the Grants love their bronze. Of course, as we’ve learned about the full effect and repercussions of sun damage, I’ve seriously curbed my sun exposure and quickly found new ways to get the colour I crave, especially around this time of year as spring picks up and some skin finally gets exposed to the elements. Click through to discover how I’m getting my natural glow on the healthy way with Jergens!
First of all, it’s worth mentioning my Jergens obsession started in my third year of university (don’t want to admit to how far long ago that was but suffice it to say, it’s been awhile). This is embarrassing to admit but like so many of us ‘90s/millennial kids, I not only was obsessed with tanning during the summer, but I’d gone through a really intense tanning bed phase. Despite being young and reckless, I did start developing some sense of concern for what all this “sunning” was doing to my skin. One of my girlfriends (a tanaholic in recovery herself) turned me on to Jergens’ gradual tanning lotion and the rest is history. I’ve kept up the regime over the years, safely getting the colour I love.

With spring right around the corner, I’m amping up my Natural Glow applications to feel confident in my favourite spring pieces—with my love for being bronzed out in the open now, it should go without saying that feeling sallow and pale in pieces I’d otherwise be excited about spells for disappointment. My skin looks so much better with some colour on it, especially when paired with a piece like this tan suede number I can’t stop wearing! Leggy looks all the way now that I’ve got the tan to go with it. Also so excited to rock the boho pieces, the all-white looks and the punches of colour that I love around this time of year (naturally, especially with a tan).
I’m going to carry on my years-long tradition of Natural Glow this spring but you can shop it right here to get your #GlowAndShow on yourself! Also, enter to win Natural Glow for yourself on Jergen Canada’s Instagram account right over here—good luck!

I've been using the Natural Glow moisturizers recently too in prep for a blog post…and I'm obsessed! I was trying on shorts today and someone in the change room commented about how they looked good on me because of my tan. I couldn't help but laugh…and fill her in!
