Fables to Fashion

Club Monaco skirt, H&M booties, bag c/o Mary Nichols,
blazer c/o Spank, Pollen Sweater Inc. sweater, bracelet & earrings c/o Keltie Leanne Designs

This is a very Little Red Riding Hood look. It's a theme I seem to revisit quite often (see Exhibit A), which is weird. I don't even think I remember ever reading the story as a kid. I was a Frenchie at first so I mostly just watched this French show about a bunch of sailors and read books about this craaaazy girl with curly black hair and that's about all I can remember.

At any rate, I do think I may tap into my inner LRRH as a means of playing up red tones...there's such a close association between the colour and the fable that I must subconsciously just pull together LRRH-esque ensembles when I'm enamoured with red. These delicate India earrings and bracelet from Keltie Leanne Design's latest spring line feature these stunning coral beads that just went altogether too well with my favourite cozy Pollen Sweater Inc. sweater and warm, copper-toned pieces.

Can't believe it's Wednesday already! This week has been a productive one, albeit a less than joyful one. Nothing bad has happened per se, but it's just been so...grey. Less than inspiring, to say the least. What do you do around this time of year to cheer up when it feels like spring will never come?

  15. I love the overall neutralness of this outfit- and how the black actually screams "LOOK HERE!" Whereas black usually isn't the "look at me" color, in my opinion.
Good thing you have nice legs, Miss! :)

  17. Red suits you!

As for cheering up when the weather is dreary, lately I've been cooking a lot of comfort food like chilis and soups. Few things are more cheer-inducing on a wintry day than a hot meal and maybe curling up on the couch for a movie afterward!
