Mint Condition

Michael Kors heels, vintage bag, jeans c/o Old Navy Canada, Zara sweater,
Club Monaco cardigan, Twenty8Twelve leather jacket, Persol sunnies c/o SmartBuyGlasses

This past week has basically been an exercise in me working as much spring inspiration into my winter looks as possible: whether it was the petal pink colour blocking yesterday, my Tieks and sky blue combo the other day or my tonal purple look earlier in the week, I'm just entirely done with winter. I'm so set to launch into spring, and what better way to do that than with a big pop of mint green!

When I first received these polka dot skinnies from Old Navy Canada, my first thought was to stow them away for another month or two until I could work them into a spring look, but while mucking around in front of my closet the other day (mucking is really the only way to describe it...it's pretty much me throwing the whole contents of my wardrobe onto the floor/bed and throwing different pieces togheter), I realized that the skinnies worked perfectly into tons of winter-esque looks.

By toning them down with neutrals and leather, voilĂ ...they're cold-weather-ready!

How was everyone's Valentine's Day last night? Matt and I just kept it low-key and went to the Italian restaurant that we go to each year...always down for carb-loading! Happy weekend!

Oh, and PS...this weekend is your last chance to win the Persol sunnies I'm wearing here...contest is up Monday! Stop by here to enter :)

  8. I am now adding those ON jeans to my long list of skinnies that I want to pick up. I am seriously impressed at how awesome the ON skinnies are - they fit quite well (even for someone like me who is more of a 10 than a 2!), and the price/sales usually mean you can get lots of colours. Such a fun way to change things up. I also like how you layered the sweater and cardigan...that wouldn't have occurred to me. Cute!

  16. Okay Alexandra, You had me at mint, but polka dots!!! They aren't showing up on my monitor, but if those skinnies are polka dot I will have to get meself over to Old Navy for a pair. They are super skinny though...looking awesome on you, but I may not have the body shape for the look.

Your post is like a fresh spring breeze!

  17. Alexandra, so glad to have found your blog! I love your style. I am completely in love with those pants. I'm looking for a pair of my mint paints right now and the addition of the polka dots makes it even better. Plus if they're from Old Navy Canada, I could get myself a pair. Thanks for sharing!
