While it may only come around once a year, The Deighton Cup is an event that requires a considerable amount of planning – the hunt for the perfect hat or fascinator is already intense enough, but then you need to source a dress to pair with it, heels, a clutch, etc, etc. To help you get inspired for The Deighton Cup (or your city’s local horse races or any other event that necessitates donning a fascinator!) Jen, Alicia and I are teaming up with LOFT to bring you some tips on what to wear to the races – click through to see more!
The girls and I visited LOFT‘s amazing Park Royal location to find dresses to pair perfectly with our Hive Mind Millinery hats and it took me all of two minutes to zero in on this buttery yellow sundress (on sale now!). Though I could’ve gone the neutral route with my dress, the races are an opportunity to really have fun with your look, so why not inject some colour? Yellow and blue are such a classic pairing together anyway that it doesn’t feel too out of my comfort zone either!
Like any other look that has a focal point (you know, this time around, it’s this huge thing on my head), keep the rest of your styling to a minimum – some dainty rings, a polished bun or a sleek blow-out and sun-kissed, femme makeup.
