I’ve felt very distinctly lately that summer is quickly slipping away, and this post couldn’t be more emblematic of this. The lovely Jen did me a favour and shot this look for me, but as we were shooting it, we quickly realized the light was starting to go, seemingly hours earlier than it usually does. We ended up being treated to what felt like an early albeit stunning sunset, which incidentally worked well in making the neon of this skirt pop like crazy.
I know I’ve droned on about how little I’m looking forward to the fall but now that the rain has really set in, I’ve resigned myself to finally getting into the swing of fall styling and I gueeeessss I am a little excited. I did a really fun collaboration last night with the beautiful Alicia and Kiara (who was visiting her hometown of Vancouver from LA!) to do a fall-themed shoot with the very talented Aaron Schwartz, and it did do the trick in terms of getting me thinking about fall fashion more.
What about you guys – are you already stocking up on cashmere and booties or are you clinging desperately to bikinis and sundresses for as long as possible?

That skirt looks great on you! Love it! I'll still be dealing with summer temps well into October and lately I've been all about breezy dresses, but I'm so looking forward to layering when autumn weather finally hits.

That skirt is KILLER! And maybe shooting at sunset is the key to getting neon to actually appear neon in photos?! I absolutely love this outfit. And while I'm generally still making the most of summer dresses, I am definitely feeling ready to transition into fall! Blazers, sweaters, scarves & booties are calling my name lately! Not rushing it, but looking forward to it!
