Aritzia top & hat, bag c/o Roots, H&M rings & wedges,
necklace c/o Brooklyn Desings, Trek bike, vintage cutoffs

My official food-cart-binging outfit: my go-to cutoffs I’ve had for years, a femme silk camisole from Aritzia and a roomy enough bag to bring home treats and exciting new buys (like this vinyl record of Satellite of Love,  an old favourite!). The comfort of this casual look was very needed after a particularly food-intensive couple of hours at the Food Cart Fest here in Vancouver.
Matt and I have biked by this festival countless times while taking the Seawall on our weekend jaunts and somehow always had a reason not to go. Finally, this weekend we got our moment and it was glorious. After stuffing my face (if the pic enough isn’t evidence enough check out this disgusting display here), I browsed through Zulu’s popup record shop and found the little treasure mentioned above. Since we don’t have a record player, I’m going to frame this bad boy for one of our gallery walls we’re working on (more on that later…apartment’s still coming together). Excited! A bike ride, iced mocha, very gentle 40 minute run (I blame the food baby for hardly being able to last that long) and homemade pizza at my family’s place later and my Sunday was pretty much complete.
Speaking of stuffing my face (which is really just what this entire post/my life has been focused on), I’ve always known I love to eat, but for whatever reason, I really came to a full realization this weekend that pretty much 100% of my spare time is focused on eating. 9 times out of 10, my main motivation from getting from one point to another is that there’s more food waiting for me wherever I’m headed. Is this just my innate survival instinct thanks to my hunter and gatherer ancestors (I obviously didn’t study this much in university) or is this just plain gluttony?

Anyway, we all know it’s the latter, but I like to think that at least the fact that I’m walking or biking everywhere helps to balance it all out (thankfully I’m too shitty of a driver to get behind the wheel much) . Any of you have similar food obsessions?

Food and drink are seriously my motivators for everything, haha. You're definitely not alone on that one! I try to move as much as possible to balance it out, too. Love the outfit!

I love the way you paired a few different types of burgundy together into one outfit. This worked so well!
